Statement
Team Towanda Foundation's
mission is to distribute The
Charge of the Casserole Cavalry, The Official Towanda
Cookbook and other related projects to:
- Serve as a guide to help a
friend through a breast cancer diagnosis and
treatment;
- Raise money for breast cancer
detection, services and research;
- Share ideas and suggestions
of encouragement, support and friendship to
"Pink-Ribbon Warriors" and their friends
and family.
In October 2002 Team
Towanda was pleased to be awarded the "Connecticut
Treasure's Award" by Lt. Governor, Jodi Rell.
Each month one individual and one group is awarded
"who has made extraordinary volunteer contributions
to the community. People who give of their time
and their talents, not for pay or recognition, but
out of kindness and an abiding sense of responsibility
and compassion."
